Spiders in 8th Through 2 Rounds at Georgetown Intercollegiate

ROCKVILLE, Md. — The Richmond Men's Golf team is in eighth place through the first two rounds of the Georgetown Intercollegiate. The Spiders recorded team scores of 306 (+18) and 299 (+11) in Rounds 1 and 2 Monday at Woodmont Country Club.
Grad student Lou Baker is the top Spider on the leaderboard at 6-over par (150), tied for 22nd among the 75 golfers in the field. Sophomore Drew Carlin is one shot back in a tie for 27th place. Both Baker and Carlin played the par 5s in 2-under par Monday, tied for 10th best of any golfer in the field.
Junior Cole Ekert recorded rounds of 80 (+8) and 73 (+1) Monday and is tied for 33rd at 9-over par. Junior Patrick Isztwan is tied for 42nd at 10-over par, and freshman Jack LaPiana is at 13-over par, tied for 56th.
Tuesday's final round will being at 8:30 AM on the 1st and 10th tees.
