Spiders Cross Country Concludes Season at NCAA Southeast Regionals

Spartanburg, S.C. - The University of Richmond cross country teams concluded their seasons on Friday at the NCAA Southeast Regionals hosted by South Carolina Upstate at the Roger Milliken Center. The women finished 18th of 34 teams in the 6K race while the men came in 21st of 33 teams in the 10K.
Returning from all-conference performances at the Atlantic 10 Championships two weeks ago, Elizabeth Stockman and Madison Trippett led the Spiders once again. Stockman finished 46th with a 20:57.6 and Trippett crossed at 50th for a 20:58.5 mark. Laurel Kurtz was next to finish, coming in at 113th for a mark of 21:53.5, while Paige Joyce (131st, 22:18.1), Manon Stephen (152nd, 22:40.4), Mollie Fenn (166th, 22:57.4) and Brooke Reif (193rd, 23:27.5) followed.
On the men's side, Jordan Bendura finished with a personal best of 30:29.5 for a 64th place finish to lead the Spiders. Henry Haase was next to cross with a personal best of 31:08.5 for 89th as Stuart Terrill finished shortly after at 31:18.3 for 100th. From there, Eric Scully (166th, 32:52.6), Jason Latina (173rd, 32:58.3), Carter Bruns (177th, 33:03.1) and William Tune (184th, 33:14.2) rounded out performances for Richmond.

The group will take a short break before heading back into the indoor track and field season where competition will spark on December 1 for the Spiders at the Liberty Kickoff.
