Wheeler Named All-America By FCS Football Central

Wheeler capped a storied career in 2023 registering a single season career-high 121 tackles, 3.0 sacks and 10.0 tackles for loss en route to earning his fifth-consecutive All-CAA honor and fourth-consecutive first team nod.
He opened the season with 17 tackles against Morgan State, the second-most in a single game in his career and with his fourth tackle of the game against Delaware State, Wheeler reached the 400 career tackles mark, becoming the seventh Spider to reach the milestone.
With his fourth tackle of the day during the Campbell game, Wheeler moved into second place all time on the Spiders career tackles list. With his 11th tackle of the game against Elon, Wheeler recorded 100 or more tackles in four-straight full season of football (2019, 2021 fall, 2022, 2023).
Over the course of his five-year career, Wheeler totaled 487 tackles, 33 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and four interceptions.
Wheeler is one of 17 players from the Coastal Athletic Association to be named All-America by FCS Football Central.
