Jax Donohue Named Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week
02/13/2023 | Women's Lacrosse
Newport News, Va. - Jax Donohue has been named the Atlantic 10 lacrosse Co-Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference Monday.Â
Donohue put together an impressive performance on defense this weekend against Queens University of Charlotte as she collected five ground balls (most in the conference for the week) and three caused turnovers (T-2nd in the conference for the week). Donohue led the Richmond defensive group as they held the Royals to only six goals.Â
With the trip to Charlotte being their opening game of the season, the Spiders look to capitalize on the experience and talent that Donohue brings to the team to build a strong defensive reputation within the Atlantic 10 and the national rankings throughout the rest of the season.Â
Donohue and the rest of the Spiders head to Williamsburg on Wednesday as they matchup with William and Mary at 6pm.Â
