Nina Lavelle Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week

Newport News, Va. - Nina Lavelle has been named the Atlantic 10 track and field Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference Wednesday.Â
Lavelle earns this honor after her performance at the JDL DMR invitational over the weekend. The freshman from Charlotte, N.C. won the 200m with a time of 25.73 with the flat track conversion to 25.34.Â
Lavelle looks to swing the momentum into her travels this weekend as her and the rest of the Spiders are competing in multiple events at the Atlantic 10 Championships, hosted in Kingston, R.I. from Feb. 25-26.Â
