Lindsey Frank Named Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week
03/20/2023 | Women's Lacrosse
Richmond, Va. - Lindsey Frank has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.Â
Frank put together an incredible performance this past week as the Spiders took on a two-game home schedule against the No. 7/10 Virginia Cavaliers and the in-conference rivals of VCU. Frank and the rest of the Spiders were able to grab both of the wins in home territory, upsetting UVA in double overtime with a 16-15 final and pushing a 12-9 margin against the Rams of VCU. At the end of the week her statistics totaled up to 10 points coming from 8 goals and 2 assists. In both contests, she was able to find the back of the net for 4 goals a piece. Frank also managed to take 9 draw controls, 4 ground balls and 1 forced turnover.
As the Spiders move to a 7-2 record on the year, they look to continue to utilize the strong offensive skill set that Frank offers to the game. Through any level of adversity, Frank remains to be a constant impact player for the Spiders. Win or loss, she is going to show out in the scorebook.
Frank and the rest of the Spiders host George Mason at Robins Stadium on Wednesday, March 22 with a 7 p.m. start time.
