RICHMOND, Va. — Renovations to the west concourse at Robins Stadium will give Spider fans a brand-new way to experience Richmond Athletics this upcoming season, the Athletics Department announced Thursday. Club level seating options will offer Spider supporters the opportunity to gather with family and friends to watch the on-field action from some of the best seats in the house, with premium food and beverage offerings included in the price of a ticket.

"This project continues our efforts to give Spider fans the best possible game-day experience and to provide our Spider student-athletes with the greatest home-field advantage possible when competing at Robins Stadium," said Vice President and Director of Athletics John Hardt. "Continuing to update and innovate Robins Stadium helps ensure that it remains among the best college stadium experiences."

Club level seating at Robins Stadium will be located on the second level of the west concourse. Fans will have the option of premium cushioned chairback seating underneath the third-floor mezzanine as well as access to exclusive food and beverage options in a remade hospitality suite situated behind the seating area, giving them the choice to watch the Spiders from the stands or the comfort of a climate-controlled suite.

Requests from season-ticket holders and Spider alumni for additional seating and hospitality options contributed to the introduction of club level seating, a project that was initialized prior to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and was supported by designated contributions to the Spider Athletic Fund.

Club level seating is the latest in a string of renovations to Robins Stadium designed to enhance the fan and student-athlete experience in recent years. In spring 2019, the second level of the east concourse was renovated to provide a new broadcast center as well as a lounge and offices for the Richmond Lacrosse programs. That summer, Robins Stadium received a new track and a new field surface. In fall 2021, a new LED videoboard debuted during the season, and in 2022 the stadium's sound system was completely replaced and upgraded.

Season-ticket prices for the 2023 football season, which features six home games, will be at the $150 and $300 levels, the same as in 2019. New season tickets are currently available for purchase.

In addition to football, the club level will also provide additional hospitality and seating options for other Robins Stadium events, including Spider Lacrosse games, the Fred Hardy Track & Field meet, and the Special Olympics Virginia Summer Games.

The club level will be completed in time for Richmond Football's 2023 home opener on Saturday, September 2 vs Morgan State at 6 p.m.
