Dawson Named A-10 Field Performer of the Week

Richmond, Va. – Alicia Dawson has been named this week's Atlantic 10 Field Performer of the Week announced by the conference Tuesday.
Dawson earns this honor after her impressive performances at the Virginia Tech Invitational on Friday and Saturday as the Spiders traveled to Blacksburg, Va. to compete. The graduate student from Washington, DC held success through the invitational with strong performances in the long jump (5th place – 5.86m – personal best) and the triple jump (3rd place – 12.47m). Both marks landed her spots in the Richmond history books as her triple jump was the 2nd longest in program history and her long jump tied for 4th in program history.
Up next, Dawson and the Spiders will travel to Lexington, Va. for the VMI Challenge on January 20.
