Spiders Complete Three-Day Weekend at Cavalier Invitational

Charlottesville, Va. – The University of Richmond swimming and diving program wraps up their three-day weekend at the Cavalier Invitational hosted by UVA as a small group of swimmers took the short trip to compete amongst some of the best competitors in the nation.
Katie Chignell represented Richmond in the 500 free preliminaries finishing with a mark of 4:59.34. Chignell claimed the 10th place finish with this time.
Laura Davis took the 11th place finish in the 200 IM preliminaries with a time of 2:06.43.
Emma Martin competed in the 400 IM with a time of 4:31.45, taking the 5th place finish in the preliminary round.
Up next, the Spiders will work through the next two weeks to prepare for the Atlantic 10 Championships. Competition will span from February 21-24 at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Va.
