Nwakalor Named A-10 Swim & Dive Rookie of the Week Once Again

Richmond, Va. – Melissa Nwakalor has been named this week's Atlantic 10 Swim & Dive Rookie of the Week announced by the conference Tuesday.
Nwakalor earns this honor for the second time in three weeks, having just been named the Atlantic 10 Swim & Dive Rookie of the Week on January 30th. Continuing an outstanding freshman campaign, Nwakalor competed in the 100 breaststroke event at the Caviler Invitational hosted by UVA, finishing with a personal best of 1:05.77 amongst some of the top competitors in the country.
Up next, Nwakalor and the rest of the Spiders will work through the next two weeks to prepare for the Atlantic 10 Championships. Competition will span from February 21-24 at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Va.
