Spider Track and Field Unveils Indoor and Outdoor Schedules

RICHMOND, Va. – Lori Taylor, the Director of Cross Country and Track and Field, has announced the 2025 indoor and outdoor schedule.

At the end of the month, the Spiders will travel to University Park, Pa., to compete at the Penn State National Open, Jan. 31 through Feb. 1. Richmond will also compete at the VMI Winter Relays in Lexington, Va., Jan. 31 through Feb. 1.

The Spiders will head to Virginia Beach for the Virginia Invitational, Feb. 7-8, to start the month. On Valentine's Day weekend, Richmond will compete at the David Emery Valentine Invitational in Boston, Mass., and the Darius Dixon Invitational in Lynchburg, Va.

The following weekend, the team will head to Northern Virginia for the GMU Father Diamond Invitational in Fairfax, Va., Feb. 21-22. The Spiders will then prepare for the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships at the Virginia Beach Sports Center, Feb. 28-March 1.

The Spiders will compete at the IC4A/ECAC Championships in Boston, Mass., March 7-9. Wrapping up the indoor season, the team will head to Virginia Beach for the NCAA Championships, March 14-15.

Opening the outdoor season, the Spiders will host the 18th Annual Fred Hardy Invitational, presented by JAMBAR, on March 21.

Richmond will head to Raleigh, N.C., for the Raleigh Relays, March 27-29. The following week, the team will head to the Colonial Relays in Williamsburg, Va., and the VertKlasse Meeting in High Point, N.C., April 4-5. Staying in North Carolina, the Spiders will compete in the Duke Invitational, April 10-12, in Durham, N.C.

In mid-April, the team will head to the West Coast to Azusa, Calif., for the Bryan Clay Invitational. Other Spiders will compete at the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Va., April 16-19.

Competing in the oldest track meet in the U.S., the team will head to Philadelphia, Pa., for the Penn Relays, April 24-26. Soon after, Richmond will compete in the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships in Fairfax, Va., May 3-4.

Heading into championship season, the team will head to Fairfax, Va., to compete in the IC4A/ECAC Championships, May 16-18. Following the conference championship, the Spiders will compete in the NCAA East Preliminary Championships in Jacksonville, Fla., May 28-31. To finish the season, the team will head to Eugene, Ore., for the NCAA Outdoor Championships, June 11-14.
