Molly Wise Has Record-Breaking Day at Brant Tolsma Invitational

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The University of Richmond's women's track and field team competed at the Brant Tolsma Invitational, hosted by Liberty University at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex. Highlighting the day was junior Molly Wise, who set a new school record in the long jump.

Wise won the long jump with a personal-best mark of 6.15 meters. She broke the previous record of 6.13 meters set by Alicia Dawson last season. Wise currently holds the best mark in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Freshman Cameron Whidbee also posted a personal best with a mark of 5.41 meters.

In the 200-meter dash, sophomore Gabrielle Cummings placed fifth with a season-best time of 24.92.

In the 3,000 meter, freshmen Charlotte Hudson, Hallie Muniz, and Addie Cohen made their collegiate indoor debut. Hudson finished 18th at 10:12.96, Muniz placed 22nd at 10:17.00, senior Laurel Kurtz finished 27th at 10:23.30, and Cohen finished 30th at 10:36.73.

Sophomore Mollie Fenn placed third in the 5,000 meter with a personal-best time of 17:41.11.

The Spiders are back in action tomorrow for the final day of the Brant Tolsma Invitational and the VMI Invitational.
