Captain Gabe Carbajal Set To Appear On Season Finale Of Behind The Web Thursday Noon-1pm at Bar West

Senior offensive lineman and captain Gabe Carbajal will join head coach Russ Huesman on the season finale of Behind The Web this Thursday, November 20 at Bar West, 5811 Grove Avenue. The weekly Richmond football radio show airs live from Noon-1pm on 106.1 ESPN, richmondspiders.com and espnrichmond.com.Â
Fans are encouraged to attend the show to talk college football with Coach Huesman, player guests and Voice of the Spiders Bob Black, while also enjoying the full food and drink menu at Bar West, including their Build Your Trio lunch special. Listeners and fans can interact with the show, anytime, by submitting questions and comments online.Â

Carbajal is a fifth-year senior who started all 13 games in 2024 when the Spiders won the Coastal Athletic Association championship with an 8-0 record and advanced to the FCS playoffs for the third consecutive season. He was part of an offensive line that helped Richmond average more than 27 points per game and more than 380 yards per game. The unit ranked second in the CAA in rushing yards (2,527) and fourth in total offense (4,945).  Injured for most of the 2025 season, the Slidell, Louisiana native has played in 23 career games with 16 starts. Â
