Dunham Takes Home Under Armour Atlantic 10 Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week Honors

Richmond, Va. — University of Richmond graduate defenseman Mitchell Dunham has been named this week's Under Armour Atlantic 10 Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.

The Mount St. Mary's transfer and Hamilton, Ontario native led the Spiders defense in Saturday's 13-12 upset over No. 13 Georgetown to give Richmond its first season with two wins over ranked opponents since 2022. Dunham was a standout in the contest, recording a season-high six ground balls and five turnovers.

Thanks to Dunham and the rest of the team's efforts, the Spiders woke up Monday morning to be ranked as high as No. 9 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Media Poll, the highest-ever ranking for the program.

Richmond enters its Atlantic 10 slate Saturday when St. Bonaventure visits Robins Stadium on March 29. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
