Spiders Compete on Day 1 of Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. – Members of the University of Richmond women's track and field team competed on the first day of the Raleigh Relays.

In the 100-meter hurdles, graduate student Darya Mikusova finished 55th with a time of 15.02.

Sophomore Gabrielle Cummings tied her personal best in the 100 meters. She finished with a time of 12.06 and placed 33rd.

In the 400 meters, sophomore Morgan Elliott finished 56th with a time of 57.08. Junior Nina Lavelle finished 67th with a time of 57.39.

Four Spiders competed in the 1,500 meters, and three runners finished with personal best times. Junior Phoebe Rubio led Richmond with a personal best time of 4:32.86 and finished 145th. Freshman Hallie Muniz also finished with a personal best time of 4:33.26 and placed 149th. Senior Dylan Miller finished 154th with a personal best time of 4:33.67. Junior Brooke Reif finished 191st with a time of 4:37.89.

In the 5k, junior Mollie Fenn finished 165th with a time of 17:39.26.

Senior Laurel Kurtz finished 28th in the 10k with a time of 36:19.57.

Richmond will return for the final day of the Raleigh Relays at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 29.
