
Men’s Tennis Earns ITA Academic Honors; Brashear and Rathmanner Named Scholar-Athletes

RICHMOND, Va. — The University of Richmond men's tennis team has been recognized for its dedication in the classroom, earning 2025 Division I All-Academic Team honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), the organization announced this week.
Individually, Cole Brashear and Sam Rathmanner were named 2025 ITA Scholar-Athletes, highlighting their academic success alongside their contributions on the court.
To qualify as an ITA All-Academic Team, a program must hold a team GPA of 3.2 or higher for the academic year. Scholar-Athlete distinction is awarded to varsity letter winners with a GPA of at least 3.5 for the current academic year. Rathmanner notches his first academic honor with the ITA while Brashear picks up his second-straight recognition.
