Men's and Women's Cross Country Earn Wins at Coastal Carolina's Chanticleer Challenge

For the first time since the 2020–21 season, the men earned a team win. That previous victory came at the Richmond Winter XC Invite on Feb. 5, 2021. On the women's side, this marked their first team win since the 2019 Spider Alumni Open on Aug. 31, which was also the first time the women's team ever won a meet.
In the men's 8K, freshman Andy Condon finished second, breaking the course record with a time of 23:46.61. Senior Henry Haase finished right behind him with a time of 24:16.43. Freshman Alex Mastroly placed fifth in 24:25.09, and sophomore Brady Barber took ninth in 24:35.15.
In the women's 5K, the Spiders claimed the top four spots. Freshman Lily Strebel led the way, finishing first and missing the course record by one second with a time of 17:29.56. Senior Mollie Fenn was second (17:31.25), sophomore Charlotte Hudson third (17:32.07), and sophomore Mia Paolino fourth (17:38.08).
