The FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team recognizes football student-athletes from all Football Championship Subdivision institutions who demonstrate excellence in both academics and athletics. Nominees must have a minimum grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.00 scale, be a starter or key contributor with legitimate athletic credentials, have reached their second year of academic and athletic standing at their institution, completed at least one full academic year at the nominated school, and participated in at least 50 percent of games at their designated position.
Current FCS ADA President Kurt McGuffin, director of athletics at the University of Tennessee Martin, stated, "This year's honorees exemplify what it means to be complete student-athletes, excelling both in the classroom and in competition. It is always rewarding to recognize outstanding individuals who embody the values and standards of our division, and this year's selections are no exception. We extend our sincere congratulations to all nominees and especially to those receiving this well-deserved recognition."
Hummel concluded his senior season as a Second Team All-Patriot League selection, a Patriot League Academic All-League honoree, and a team captain after starting all 12 games at left guard. He was a key part of an offensive line that helped Richmond rank third in the Patriot League in rushing yards, averaging nearly 148 yards per game, while also limiting opponents to just 14 sacks on the season, a mark that ranked third in the league and among the top 15 nationally in the FCS. His work up front contributed to quarterback Kyle Wickersham leading the Patriot League in completion percentage. Hummel was also recognized with the Gus Lee Winter Warrior Award for demonstrating the greatest improvement during offseason training and was named a semifinalist for the 2025 William V. Campbell Trophy, college football's premier scholar-athlete award.
Glassmyer also earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors, Patriot League Academic All-League recognition, and served as a team captain, starting 10 games during the season. He finished second on the team in total tackles with 82, including 40 solo stops, while adding five tackles for loss, three sacks, and a pass breakup. He recorded a season-high 12 tackles in Richmond's win over Fordham on Nov. 1. Glassmyer played a central role in a Spider defense that ranked first in the Patriot League and fourth nationally in the FCS in passing yards allowed. He also helped the Spiders rank second in the conference in scoring defense, third in interceptions, and sixth nationally in total defense, limiting opponents to just over 290 yards per game.
