804 WR Quanye Veney Set To Appear On Behind The Web Thursday Noon-1pm At Bar West

Senior wide receiver Quanye Veney, whose touchdown catch Saturday at Lafayette gave the Spiders the lead for good, will be the player guest this Thursday, Oct. 8 on Behind The Web with head coach Russ Huesman at Bar West, 5811 Grove Avenue from Noon-1pm. The weekly Richmond football radio show airs live on 106.1 ESPN, richmondspiders.com and espnrichmond.com.Â
Fans are encouraged to attend the show to talk college football with Coach Huesman, player guests and Voice of the Spiders Bob Black, while also enjoying the full food and drink menu at Bar West, including their Build Your Trio lunch special. Listeners and fans can interact with the show, anytime, by submitting questions and comments online.Â

Veney, a local product from nearby Highland Springs High School, is one of 19 Spider players from the Central Virginia area. He is second on the team and 11th in the Patriot League in receiving yards per game (48.7 ypg) and is tops among Spider receivers and seventh in the conference in yards per catch (16.2 ypc). Both his receiving yards per game and yards per catch are currently career highs for the fifth-year receiver.
