Muniz Sets New School Record at David Hemery Valentine Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. – The University of Richmond women's track and field team competed at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center. Highlighting the day was Hallie Muniz, who set a new school record.

Muniz set the school record in the 5,000 meter running a personal-best time of 16:33.09 to break Nicol Traynor's previous mark from 2012. Muniz also posted a personal-best time of 4:48.70 in the mile.

In the mile, Phoebe Rubio and Mia Paolino also recorded personal-best performances. Rubio finished in 4:52.43, while Paolino crossed the line in 4:55.91.

Caroline Donohoe placed seventh in the 800 meter, finishing in 2:07.74.

In the 4x400 meter relay, Gabrielle Cummings, Morgan Elliott, Nina Lavelle and Donohoe combined to place 16th with a time of 3:52.17.

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The University of Richmond women's track and field team posted strong distance results and a solid field performance at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational this weekend at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex.

Ava LoVuolo competed in the 1,000 meter and finished 12th with a time of 3:01.87.

In the 3,000 meter, Lily Strebel led the Spiders with a fifth-place finish in 10:15.31. Lydia Shields also placed in the top 10, taking ninth in 10:23.50.

In the 5,000 meter, Estella Bruneau highlighted the meet with a runner-up finish in 17:52.35. Addie Cohen placed fifth in 18:08.65, while Paige Joyce finished seventh in 18:16.67. Charlotte Hudson added an eighth-place finish in the invitational section, crossing the line in 18:02.85.
In the triple jump, Sydney Phillips recorded a mark of 11.27 meters, placing 16th overall.
