Spider Relays Capture Gold and Silver Medals, Set School Record

HAMPTON, Va. – The University of Richmond women's swimming and diving team opened the Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday with podium finishes in two relays.

The Spiders medaled in both swimming events on day one, earning one gold and one silver medal.

Richmond captured gold in the 200 medley relay and broke the school record set in 2023. The Spiders earned an NICÂ A cut and touched in 1:38.71. The relay team included Hannah Wieczorek (24.86), Presley Baber (27.74), Lena Amare (23.81) and Julia Krichev (22.30).

The Spiders earned silver in the 800 free relay and posted an NIC A cut time of 7:17.80. The relay team consisted of Erin Budde, Caitlyn Hughes, Gabbie Primiano and Amare.
