Men's Golf Adds Toledo Transfer Mason Deal

RICHMOND, Va. — Toledo graduate Mason Deal will join the Richmond men's golf team and compete for the Spiders during the 2026-27 season, coach Adam Decker announced Monday. Deal, who completed his finance degree at Toledo in May, will enroll in graduate classes at UR.
Deal was a four-year member of the men's golf program at Toledo, averaging 74.86 strokes over 65 competitive rounds. His best finish was a tie for 11th at UNCW's Seahawk Intercollegiate in March 2026, which earned him his first career MAC Golfer of the Week honor. In May, he placed 37th at the MAC Championship, second best among Rockets.
Deal, a native of Perrysburg, Ohio, joins a program that will be defending its first conference championship since 2017 during the 2026-27 season.
