Season Premiere Of Behind The Web Features Defensive End Cam Byrd Thursday Noon-1pm At Bar West

The season premiere of Behind The Web with head coach Russ Huesman is set for this Thursday, Sept. 3 at Bar West, 5811 Grove Avenue from Noon-1pm. Patriot League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year Camden Byrd is the scheduled player guest. The weekly Richmond football radio show airs live on 106.1 ESPN, richmondspiders.com and espnrichmond.com.

Fans are encouraged to attend the show to talk college football with Coach Huesman, player guests and Voice of the Spiders Bob Black, while also enjoying the full food and drink menu at Bar West, including their Build Your Trio lunch special. Byrd dominated the line of scrimmage in the Spiders' season-opening 35-14 Patriot League victory of Bucknell Saturday night at Robins Stadium. From Patrick Henry High in nearby Ashland, Byrd recorded three quarterback sacks, bringing his career total to 20.5, which vaults him into sixth on Richmond's career Top 10 list for quarterback sacks.

Behind The Web will be held throughout the college football season on 12 consecutive Thursdays at Bar West. The program will be archived on richmondspiders.com for on demand listening.
