Teamed up with Maria Acosta, Kayla O’Connell and Brooke Fazio to win the 4x800m with a time of 8:39.88, breaking the UR program record and marking the nation’s best time of the season at the 53^rd Tennessee Relays. As the lead leg, Smither turned in a time of 2:13.28
At the JMU Invitational, finished seventh overall with a time of 2:13.04 in the 800m
Advanced to the finals of the 800m, with a second-place finish in the fourth section with a time of 2:11.43
In the A-10 Championship 800m finals, scored UR points with a sixth-place finish (2:11.23)
