Richmond Men's Soccer To Host Alumni Weekend

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- The University of Richmond men's soccer team is hosting an alumni weekend on April 20 and 21 in celebration of 26 years of varsity soccer on Richmond's campus. The festivities will kick off on Friday, April 20 at 6:00 p.m. with an alumni match against current Richmond players. A reception will be held in the University Club at 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening featuring special guests, awards and presentations. On Saturday, April 21, Richmond will host cross-town rival VCU in a spring exhibition. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
Richmond soccer just completed its fifth straight winning season under Coach Jeff Gettler. The Spiders return seven starters and 18 letterwinners on a squad that finished 11-7-1 in 2000.
