Men's Soccer Holds Post-Season Banquet

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond men's soccer team held its post-season banquet on January 26, 2002. The Spiders, who finished the season 13-6-2 and garnered numerous post-season honors, recognized their own on Saturday afternoon. Below is a recap of the 2001 awardees.
Most Valuable Player - Shawn Alexander
To the student-athlete who demonstrates outstanding leadership and superior play throughout the season.
Robert S. Ukrop 12th Player Award - Paul Kelly
To the student-athlete who unselfishly has contributed to the success of the team in a supporting role. His play off the bench raised the team's level of play.
Leigh Cowlishaw Hall of Fame Award - Bret Myers
To the senior student-athlete who has demonstrated outstanding play and dedication throughout his entire athletic career at Richmond.
Most Improved Player - Chris Zuk
To the student-athlete who has shown significant improvement during the season and has had an impact on the team's performance.
Coaches Award - Bryan Waggoner
To the student-athlete whose inspiration and enthusiasm has contributed to the success of the team.
