Gardarsdottir was named Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for her six-point effort in three games this week. She scored two goals as the Spiders swept their first Atlantic 10 weekend, and added two assists - one in Richmond's 2-1 loss against #5 Virginia and another in the Spiders' 2-1 win against Massachusetts. The senior midfielder recorded two second-half goals in Richmond's 3-0 win against Rhode Island that opened A-10 action on Friday night.
Season-To-Date Recap
Gardarsdottir leads the team with seven points (2 goals, 3 assists) in eight games this year. She missed two games because of playing for the Iceland national team. A 2002 Third Team All-American, Gardarsdottir scored the game-winner against Rhode Island.

"Not only has Edda done wonderful things on the field: passing, scoring important goals and defending, she also does all of the little things that make everyone else better," Head Coach Peter Albright said. "She understands what the game needs, and she delivers it. Edda is having a great senior year."
