Kelly scored his first goal of the season in dramatic fashion as he bent a free kick around the diving West Virginia keeper with only nine seconds remaining in regulation to knot Sunday's contest 1-1. The junior midfielder tucked his shot in the lower right corner after Eric Dutt drew a crucial foul to set up the chance. Senior Vinnie Ciarpella pushed home the game winner with 4:02 remaining in the second overtime.
Season-To-Date Recap
The Spiders evened their record (1-1) with Sunday's 2-1 victory against West Virginia. Richmond dropped its season opener, 1-0, against ninth-ranked Clemson when the Tigers drove home their game-winner with just 26 seconds remaining in regulation on Friday evening.

"Paul started in great form," head coach Jeff Gettler said. "He is on fire, much like his hair. He knocked the free kick in the corner with pace, probably his best since he has been here. It was a pressure shot with not much time remaining."
