Football Earns Four All-Conference Honors

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Four University of Richmond football student-athletes were recognized as All-Conference performers for the 2004 season it was announced today by the Atlantic 10.
Senior defensive lineman Clifton Coker compiled 33 tackles and a team-best 5.5 sacks in only eight games this fall while being named to the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team. The Brooklyn, N.Y. native notched a team-best eight tackles for loss.
Chosen for the All-Atlantic 10 Third Team were junior running back David Freeman and sophomore linebackers Adam Goloboski and Lance Gray.
The first Spider to rush for 100+ in four games since 1998, Freeman ranked third in the Atlantic 10 with 85.9 rushing yards per game. The Fayetteville, N.C. native led the team with six touchdowns.
Helped by a 26-tackle performance against Delaware on Nov. 13, Goloboski led the Spiders and ranked third in the conference with 116 tackles. He averaged 10.5 tackles per game, reaching double figures a team-high seven times, and was second on the team with 7.5 tackles for loss.
Second on the team with 102 tackles, Gray eclipsed 10+ stops five times this fall, including 22 against Delaware. The Mechanicsville, Va. native tied for eighth in the league in tackles while also posting six tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, one interception and one forced fumble.
The Spiders finished the 2004 season with an overall record of 3-8, 2-6 in the Atlantic 10.
