Spiders Spend Saturday With March of Dimes

April 30, 2005
RICHMOND, Va. - The spring semester may have been finalized, but the Spiders Caravan rolls on.
Members of the Richmond Athletic Department joined other community groups at the March of Dimes Children's Festival, an event that followed the organization's walk through the city of Richmond, held at Monroe Park Saturday morning.
More than 600 people were expected to take part in the walk and festival.
Men's soccer assistant coach Bryan Waggoner, who also played for the Spiders, held a soccer clinic with several of the youngsters behind the Richmond Athletic booth. In addition to a highly-competitive game, Waggoner taught several folks how to juggle a soccer ball. Spidey was also on site, spreading cheer and giving hugs to everyone.
The Spiders Caravan is the University of Richmond Athletic Department's community venture. The Spiders take pride in giving back to the Richmond community that constantly supports them.
