Clawson To Throw Out First Pitch At Richmond Braves Game

Aug. 15, 2005
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond Football head coach Dave Clawson and the entire 2005 Spider football squad will be at The Diamond, Friday, Aug. 19 when the Richmond Braves host the Toledo Mud Hens.
Clawson and the four 2005 co-captains, seniors Brian Burnette, David Freeman, John Gromin and Stacy Tutt, will be on the field for pre-game festivities and the first pitch.
To create a buzz about their season-opener against No. 15 UMass, Sept. 1 at UR Stadium, all of the Spider players will be handing out posters and schedule cards at the gates prior to the game. A select number of seniors will be available for autographs and pictures with the fans at tables along the concourse.
After throwing the game's first pitch, Clawson will head to the radio booth to visit on air with the voice of the Braves, Robert Fish, during the top half of the second inning.
Visit www.rbraves.com for tickets to Friday's game and your chance to get Spider football autographs and pictures with the players.
