Colin Vint Named Second-Team All-State

March 31, 2006
University of Richmond senior Colin Vint was named to the VaSID All-State Men's Soccer Second Team in voting conducted among Virginia's sports information directors.
The senior from Fairfax, Va., added to a list of postseason accomplishments that also includes being named to the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America All-South Atlantic Region Third Team and the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team.
This is Vint's second-straight appearance on the VaSID second team. For his career, Vint was twice named to the South Atlantic Region Third Team and was a three time All-Atlantic 10 selection.
As a senior in 2005, Vint tied for the team lead in goals (3), assists (4) and points (10) and finished his career 10th in school history with 21 career goals and 11th on the all-time points list with 55.
"Colin had a great season," Richmond head coach Jeff Gettler said. "We had a young team and he didn't get the same type of service in and around the goal as in the past, but his quality of play was tremendous. We're glad he is being recognized for his efforts."
The four-year starter played in 71 games in his career, starting 61. Along with earning Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors three times, Vint was also a member of the league's all-rookie team in 2002.
Richmond finished the 2005 season with a 4-8-6 record, which included one stretch where the Spiders only lost once in 10 games.
