Student-Athletes Say Thanks To Spider Club Donors

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Nearly 40 Spider student-athletes from various sports put down their gear and picked up the phone last week, personally dialing more than 1,200 Spider Club members across the globe. Their early evening calls delivered a simple but sincere message: Thank You. The student-athletes said thanks for the financial support to Richmond Athletics and the Spider Club. This was the first year the Spider Club sponsored a student-athlete Thank-a-thon.
The Spider Club is composed of former student-athletes, alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends dedicated to the advancement of Spider athletics. Gifts to the Spider Club provide annual financial support for scholarships and operating expenses for the Athletic Department.
The Thank-a-thon was a great success and will become an annual program for Spider Club members!
