Media Day Kicks Off Opening Week For Spider Football

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -
The 2006 Richmond football team gathered in uniform for pictures and questions from local media members Friday afternoon at First Market Stadium, signaling the beginning of game week for Coach Dave Clawson's squad.
The 15th-ranked Spiders open Saturday Sept. 2, at Duke. Tickets for the 6 p.m. kickoff in Durham, N.C., are available by calling 1-877-SPIDER-1 or visiting the Robins Center ticket office. The Spiders' home opener is slated for Saturday Sept. 16 when they host VMI on Family Weekend. Tickets for the 3 p.m. kickoff against the Keydets, as well as all Richmond home games, are available online, calling 1-877-SPIDER-1 or visiting the Robins Center ticket office.
The Duke game can be heard on ESPN Radio 950AM and WOLF 93.1FM throughout Central Virginia and worldwide on RichmondSpiders.com. Air time is 5:30pm.
