Football Draws Home Game Versus EKU In NCAA First Round

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The 16-team NCAA Championship bracket has been announced and Richmond will host Eastern Kentucky in first-round game at UR Stadium. Game time has yet to be announced. Both teams are 9-2 and the winner of this game will face the winner of the Montana/Wofford game in round two.
The game time should be announced some time Monday. Ticket prices have been announced -- $20 for adults, $10 for youth (under 12) and Richmond student will be admitted free with a valid UR I.D. Richmond is making its sixth all-time appearance in the Football Championship Subdivision (I-AA) Playoffs and are 3-2 in first-round games. The Spiders won round-one tilts over Boston (35-33) in 1984, Youngstown State (10-3) in 2000 and Hampton (38-10) in 2005.
Champions of CAA Football, the Spiders bring a six-game winning streak into Saturday's game versus the Ohio Valley Conference champ Colonels, who have won eight-consecutive. The Colonels went undefeated during their OVC slate, with their lone losses coming on the road at FBS (D-I) schools Kentucky and Western Kentucky.
The Spiders and Colonels have never met in football.
