Spiders Announce Game Times For 2007 Home Football Schedule

All 2007 regular season home football games have been scheduled for 3 p.m. kickoffs, the Richmond Athletics department announced today.
"Many of our fans have indicated to us that mid-afternoon home games would enhance the overall gameday experience," said Jana Ross, Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Fan Development. "It will allow families who have morning activities to get to the stadium in plenty of time to enjoy tailgating and the game, without making it too late into the evening.
"Our students also seem to favor the mid-afternoon games. And, a consistent start time for every home game should be convenient for our fans, as well."
The Spiders will play five home games at University of Richmond Stadium, beginning September 29 against New Hampshire, which will also serve as Family Weekend.
Homecoming is slated for November 3 against Villanova, and the Spiders will host the 117th meeting with William & Mary November 17 in the regular season finale.
The Spiders are in the midst of spring practice, which will conclude with the annual Spring Game, Saturday April 7, 3 p.m., at First Market Stadium on campus. Admission is free.
