All-UR Stadium Team To Be Announced Wednesday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond Department of Athletics would like to thank all that participated in the vote to help select the All-UR Stadium Team, which recognizes the greatest Spider football players in the 81-year history of the venue.
An online poll over the past two months produced nearly 60,000 votes. Those votes have been tabulated and the team has been selected.
The 28-member squad will be formally introduced at the final regular-season home game to ever be played at UR Stadium - vs. William & Mary on Nov. 21 - but stay tuned to RichmondSpiders.com next Wednesday, Nov. 4, as the All-UR Stadium Team will be officially announced.
Along with the selection of a head coach, the team includes one quarterback, two running backs, a fullback, two wide receivers, a tight end, five offensive linemen, four defensive linemen, three linebackers, four defensive backs, one punter, one kicker and two return specialists.
The No. 1-ranked Spiders are at Towson this Saturday for a 1 p.m. game before returning home next Saturday to host No. 4 Villanova on Homecoming Weekend. The weekend festivities include the annual Chuck Boone Golf Outing, set for Friday morning at the Federal Club.
