Capital Cup An Instant Classic On ESPN 950

Nov. 23, 2009
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -
If NFL games don't fill you up Thanksgiving Day, try a second helping of Richmond-Willliam & Mary football. The Spiders' flagship radio station, ESPN 950, and ESPN950am.com, will replay the thrilling Capital Cup classic Thanksgiving Day from 2-6 p.m.
From opening kickoff to the dramatic interception and game-winning field goal, fans can relive the entire Richmond-William & Mary game, one of the greatest in the 119 meetings between the schools.
This marks the second time in the past year ESPN 950 has replayed a Spider football broadcast in its entirety. Richmond's national championship victory over Montana last December was replayed the week after the game.
Back to the future, live coverage of Saturday's first round home playoff game against Elon begins at noon with the UR Bookstore Tailgate Show from the stadium parking lot, with the Farm Bureau Insurance Kickoff Show at 12:30 and the game at 1 p.m.
The broadcast airs via the Richmond/ISP Sports Network on ESPN 950, RichmondSpiders.com, ESPN950am.com and can be heard as part of SpiderTV's live video streaming.
