· Richmond was playing at home as a No. 1-ranked team for the first time since the 1985 season. The Spiders improved to 6-2 all-time when playing as the No. 1 - just three of those games have been played at UR Stadium (3-0). Richmond's last game at home when ranked first was a 31-3 win over Northeastern on Oct. 19, 1985.
· The Spiders winning streak of 12 games is a new school record, breaking the 11-game winning streak set in 1972-73. Richmond's last loss was Oct. 11, 2008 vs. James Madison.
· The 12-game winning streak stands as the longest current in the FCS - and trails just Florida's 13-game streak for the longest in Division I football. (Utah had its 16-game winning streak snapped today, while USC's 12-game streak was also stopped). Additionally, Utah's road loss gives Richmond the longest current road winning streak in Division I at eight games.
· At 3-0, Richmond is off it its best start since opening 4-0 in 2006 - that season also began with a win at Duke.
· Richmond improved to 16-3 under second-year head coach Mike London - 6-1 at home, 9-2 on the road, 1-0 neutral.
· Richmond has now scored 31 points or more in 13-consecutive home games dating back to 2007 - and the Spiders are 12-1 in those games. The Spiders' average margin of victory in that stretch is 23.7 points.
· Richmond improved to 39-3 when leading at the half since 2004 (2-0 this year)... And the Spiders are 30-2 since 2005 (10-1 since last season) when scoring 30 or more points in a game... Richmond is now 30-5 when scoring first since 2005 (2-0 this season).
· Richmond forced four turnovers (all fumbles) and scored 24 points off the Hofstra giveaways. Last season, the Spiders scored 159 points off turnovers.
· Hofstra became the 15th of Richmond's last 19 opponents to gain less than 100 yards on the ground (14-1) and the sixth team to rush for less than 40 (6-0). The Pride managed just 13 yards on 34 carries Saturday.
· Richmond improved to 11-2 in its last 13 games versus team from the CAA North Division, including seven-consecutive wins. The Spiders are out-scoring the Northern foes 422-221 in those 13 games. Richmond's last loss in intra-division play was Oct. 7, 2006 at then-No. 1 New Hampshire.
· With four touchdown passes, senior QB Eric Ward tied his career high that he originally set at Delaware in 2007.
· Ward was 12-of-16 passing in the game, but completed 12 of his final 13 attempts. Three of his four incomplete passes were thrown to avoid sacks. Ward has yet to be sacked this season and has thrown just one interception in three games.
· Ward completed passes to seven different players, including four TD passes to four different targets - sophomore WR Donte Boston caught his first career TD pass on a dazzling 49-yard play, junior WR Max Prokell's 23-yard TD reception was the first of his career and junior FB Ben Keating's two-yard TD reception was his first collegiate score.
· Boston reeled in two catches and set a career high with 65 yards receiving, while Prokell's 23 yards also set a career high.
· Seven different Spiders carried the ball as Richmond racked up 213 yards on the ground, getting rushing TDs from junior Tyler Kirchoff and the first of freshman Kendall Gaskins' career.
