Richmond played its final home game of the 2010 regular-season - the inaugural season of the Spiders' new on-campus facility Robins Stadium. Richmond was 5-1 at home in the regular season, and was 5-0 at home while wearing the Red jerseys.

The win also ensures the Spiders a winning season for the sixth-consecutive season. It stands as the second-longest streak in school history, trailing the seven-straight winning seasons between 1916 and 1922.
The Richmond defense forced a season-high seven turnovers (four interceptions and three fumble recoveries). The defense pitched a second-half shutout of Rhode Island and has allowed just 32 second-half points over the last seven games.
With the missed field by URI kicker Louis Feinstein, Richmond opponents are now 3-for-11 on field goal tries this season.
Feinstein and Richmond kicker Wil Kamin combined to missed all three PATs in the game. In the six game history of Robins Stadium, there have been 34 extra-point tries and 11 have been missed.
Richmond improved to 13-5 all-time versus Rhode Island and is now 14-3 in its last 17 games versus teams from the former CAA North Division.
Since the start of the 2005 season, the Spiders have scored first in 46 of 76 games and are 39-7 when doing so.
