Richmond Accepts Transfer Of OL Richard Muldrow From Rutgers

June 22, 2010
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - University of Richmond head football coach Latrell Scott announced Tuesday that former Rutgers offensive lineman Richard Muldrow has signed an athletics grant-in-aid to attend Richmond and play for the Spiders in 2010. Muldrow has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Muldrow, a 6-6, 285-pound left guard, is the second transfer from a Football Bowl Subdivision school to Richmond since Scott was named the Spiders' head coach in December. Former Southern California QB Aaron Corp transferred to Richmond in January.
"Richard is great addition to the Richmond Football family," said Scott. "We are excited to get him on campus, enrolled in classes and have him meet the team. I look for him to be making immediate contributions to our team this fall."
A York, Pa. native, Muldrow was a highly-touted prep player out of William Penn High School, rated as the No. 45 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 25 overall player in Pennsylvania by Rivals.com.
Richmond, which lost four of its five starting offensive linemen from 2009 to graduation, opens the 2010 season Sept. 4 at Virginia.
