2010 Football Training Camp Coverage Delivered By nTelos Wireless

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - With the start of camp just days away, RichmondSpiders.com is your source for Training Camp coverage as the Spiders prepare to usher is a new era of Richmond Football. First-year head coach Latrell Scott officially welcomes his team back Wednesday morning, and the Spiders will go through various meetings and team dinner, before practice begins Thursday. The first official practice of the 2010 campaign is set for 3 p.m. Thursday.
A select number of practices are open to the public, including the team's first workout Thursday afternoon. The open-to-the-public practices are:
Thursday, August 5 -- 3 p.m. (First Practice)
Monday, August 9 -- 3 p.m. (First Day of Full Pads)
Saturday, August 14 -- 2:30 p.m. (Scrimmage #1)
Wednesday, August 16 -- 8:30 a.m. (Special Teams practice)
Saturday, August 21 -- 3:30 p.m. (Scrimmage #2)
The Spiders plan to utilize both Robins Stadium and President's Field (grass practice field adjacent to River Road) during Training Camp. Fans are encouraged to check back here at RichmondSpiders.com and the team's Twitter account (@Spider_Football) for the location of the above practices, and for any time changes.
In addition, the 2010 Richmond Football Preseason Information pack is now available online and fans and media are encouraged to download the PDF of the guide, located here. The media pack contains rosters, depth charts and notes on the 2010 season.
Richmond opens the season Sept. 4 at Virginia at 6 p.m., with the inaugural home game at Robins Stadium set for Sept. 18 versus Elon at 1 p.m. Tickets are currently unavailable for all six home games, but may become available during the week of each home game. Tickets for road contests may be purchased by calling 1-877-SPIDER-1 or visiting the Robins Center Ticket Office.
