Inaugural Home-Opener At Robins Stadium Is Sold Out

Sept. 4, 2010
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - With the excitement surrounding the opening of Robins Stadium, the University of Richmond Department of Athletics announced Saturday that the inaugural game versus Elon on September 18th is sold out. No tickets will be available for sale.
Season tickets for the inaugural season sold out in early June. The remaining single-game tickets for the home opener were claimed by students, Spider Club members, the visiting team and individuals participating in inaugural game ceremonies.
On the heels of the 2008 National Championship and the opening of the $25 million Robins Stadium this season, excitement surrounding the Richmond Football program is at an all-time high. That excitement is reflected in season-ticket sales, which have more than doubled since before the 2008 season.
Tickets to the remaining five home game are currently unavailable at this time. Fans may call the Robins Center Ticket Office or visit RichmondSpiders.com at 9:00 a.m. on the Monday prior to each home game to inquire if tickets have become available for sale to the general public.
