Process Announced For Football Coaching Search

University of Richmond Athletics Director Jim Miller today announced the process the school will follow in selecting a head coach to lead the Spiders' football program.
With the completion of the season, a national search is underway. Wayne Lineburg, who was named interim head coach August 23, is a candidate for the position.
"When Wayne agreed to assume the head
coach responsibilities on short notice, I stated that our record would not be
the sole basis for his evaluation. He handled a difficult situation in a
professional and positive manner," said Miller.
"Wayne now has the opportunity during the interview process to present his
long-term vision for Spider football. A national search will enable us to
identify the person who is the right fit to lead one of the nation's best FCS
programs."
During the search process, Coach Lineburg and his staff will continue to lead all aspects of the football program, including recruiting and off-season team functions. There is no timetable for completion of the search process.
