Postgame Notes: Richmond 47, VMI 6

Team Notes
- Richmond has now won 10 straight games against VMI with Saturday's 47-6 victory.
- Head coach Danny Rocco now owns a 7-0 career record vs. VMI
- Saturday's win marked the Spiders' first road win since a 23-21 victory over Duke in the 2011 season-opener (9/3/11).
- The Spiders are now 16-0 vs. non-conference FCS opponents since 2005.
- Richmond is 39-4 since 2005 when scoring more than 30 points and has now scored 30+ points in two consecutive games
- The Spiders' 41-point win is the program's largest margin of victory since a 47-0 shutout of Hofstra on Sept. 19, 2009.
- After taking a 16-6 lead into Saturday's second half, Richmond is currently 50-5 since the start of 2004 when leading at halftime.
- The last time Richmond scored 40+ points in back-to-back games was on Sept. 13 and 20 of the 2008 season (45-14 win over Towson; 44-17 win over Maine).
- The Spiders have now held an opponent to 10 or fewer points in back-to-back games for the first time since 2010 (13-10 win over JMU on Nov. 6; 15-6 win over Rhode Island on Nov. 13).
Player Notes
- Sophomore kicker Remington Hinshaw set school records with four field goals and 17 kicking points scored in addition to equaling his career long with a 37-yard attempt to end the opening half of play.
- Junior WR Ben Edwards hauled in career-highs with 11 receptions and 122 receiving yards against the Keydets.
- Senior QB John Laub recorded a career-high 23 completions and 44 rushing yards on Saturday.
- Senior DB Cooper Taylor had a career-high two interceptions, including one for a 35-yard touchdown return, representing his first career score.
- Sophomore DB Justin Grant returned the opening kickoff for a 90-yard touchdown return, marking his first-ever kickoff TD return and Richmond's first since 2009 (Tremayne Graham - Nov. 14, 2009 at Georgetown). His 116 yards on the afternoon also represented a career high.
