10 Spiders Earn Preseason Honors From Phil Steele
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Numerous University of Richmond Spider football players earned preseason honors from Phil Steele on Tuesday with the release of his FCS Preview.
Senior wide receivers Ben Edwards and Shane Savage were named Fourth-Team Preseason All-Americans while also headlining a list of 10 Spider players named to the Preseason All-CAA list.
Along with Edwards and Savage, OL Jacob Ruby, DL Evan Kelly, DL Kerry Wynn, LB Eric Wright, DB Reggie Barnette and KR Justin Grant were named to the All-CAA Preseason Second-Team. Earning third-team honors were FB Seth Fisher and LB Aaron Roane.
