Spider Football Practice Report No. 4

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond Spiders football team was back on the practice field on Thursday morning at Robins Stadium.
The defending CAA Football conference champions practice on an overcast day in Richmond for two hours, focusing for the fourth-straight day on installing the 1st and 2nd down offense and defense.
The coaching staff also continued to focus on the base fundamentals and techniques of each position, working with their specific student-athletes for the majority of Thursday’s practice.
Following practice, the freshmen class will have their academic orientation, while both the offense and defense will have meetings, followed by walk-throughs at the stadium.
The Richmond Spiders will be back at Robins Stadium for the fifth day of training camp on Friday. Practice is scheduled to begin at 9:45 p.m.
Post-Practice Quotes
“Offensively we were kind of up and down today. Fourth day of installation and things start to pile up a little bit. Lot of good plays but we still have to clean up a lot of things. Still a lot of work to do, but that’s where you are in camp and that’s the way it normally is this time of year.”
