Team Notes
- Richmond falls to 6-3 in CAA conference openers dating back to the 2006 season with the loss to Maine.
- With DB Wayne Pettus’ interception in the second quarter, the Spiders extended their interception streak to 15 games. Over the stretch, Richmond has totaled 33 interceptions.
- The Spiders 17-play drive resulting in a 19-yard field goal in the first quarter is the most plays in a scoring drive this season.
- Richmond recorded their first successful two point conversion since Nov. 5, 2011 against Old Dominion to tie the game in the fourth quarter.
- WR Ben Edwards and WR Stephen Barnette each recorded 100+ receiving yards, marking the first time since Sept. 26, 2009 that the Spiders have had two receivers with over 100 receiving yards.

- With 14 receptions Edwards moved to fourth on the Spider all-time reception list with 169 career catches, and he cracks the top-10 in receiving yards with 1,849 yards. Edwards ran for a career-high 56 yards, leading the Spider offense on the ground. Edwards accounted for 182 yards of the Spider’s 398 yards of total offense.
- QB Michael Strauss with 31 completions for a career-high 333 yards moved to ninth place on the Spider career completions list with 252 career completions.
- TE Sean Fitzpatrick’s 11-yard catch in the first quarter was his first career reception as a Spider.
- WR Stephen Barnette recorded his fifth career 100-yard plus game with seven catches for 132 yards and one touchdown.
- TE Hunter Westfall’s five-yard touchdown reception marks his second score this season.
- Pettus’ interception in the second quarter was his third interception in five games, tying his career season high.
- DB Reggie Barnette pulled down his first interception of the season and his fifth career interception.
- PK Brandon Jordi made two field goals to improve his field goal percentage to 85 percent this season.
