UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The No. 19/20 University of Richmond Spiders football team host CAA-rival, Rhode Island on Homecoming Weekend this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on the American Sports Network.

Spider Offense On Fire
The Richmond offense has been running on all cylinders this season. The Spider have scored 40 or more points in the four of the team’s first six games for the first time in program history. The four 40+ games for UR is the most since 2008 and is just one shy of the school record for most 40+ games in program history set in 2007 (5).
Fisher Racking Up The Touchdowns
Redshirt-junior RB Seth Fisher has been racking up the touchdowns this season for the Spiders. Fisher leads the CAA with nine total scores (6 rush, 3 pass) and also leads the team in rushing with 332 yards on 69 carries.
Strauss Suffers Broken Ankle At UAlbany
Richmond QB Michael Strauss suffered a slight break to the inside of his left ankle in the victory at UAlbany on October 11. Strauss is expected to miss about a month of action.
Barnette Nears Receiving Milestones
WR Stephen Barnette is nearing a pair of impressive career milestones in his senior season. Barnette is just three receptions shy of 200 for his career and just 156 yards away from 2,000 receiving yards for his career. Barnette stands 46 receptions and 257 yards away from tying both school records.
Richmond Dominating First Quarters
Through six games this season, Richmond has dominated its opponents in the first quarter, out-scoring them 62-10. In fact, the Spiders have not allowed an opponent to score in the opening frame in the last four games.
