Spiders Continue To Move Up National Polls

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – After moving to 6-2 on the season with a 30-10 win at Elon, the University of Richmond Spiders moved up in the national polls this week.
With its impressive win over the Phoenix, the Spiders moved up to No. 13 in the latest Sports Network Poll released on Monday – up three spot from the previous week. In the FCS Coaches Poll, Richmond also moved up three places to No. 14.
Under head coach Danny Rocco, the Spiders have been a constant in the national rankings the past three seasons. In total, Richmond has been nationally ranked 20 of the past 25 weeks.
Richmond returns to action this Saturday when the team hosts No. 3/4 Villanova to Robins Stadium. Kickoff will be at 12 p.m. with the game telecast live on Comcast SportsNet.
